Cosaan Education Network (C.E.N) is a private bilingual school that brings together the Senegalese and American education systems while celebrating African cultural heritage. Its name, Cosaan, meaning “roots” in Wolof, reflects its commitment to nurturing every pupil's identity, culture and sense of belonging.

C.E.N offers demanding, innovative teaching firmly focused on the challenges of the modern world. Working with development organisations, the school fosters cultural exchange, builds bridges between young people from all backgrounds and prepares its pupils to become global citizens, proud of their roots and open to the future.

Cosaan Education Network (C.E.N) offers a holistic education combining academic learning, language mastery and cultural awareness. Designed to prepare pupils for a global future while honouring their African heritage, the curriculum covers the core subjects and delivers a bilingual education. It develops critical thinking, creativity and engagement through meaningful cultural activities.

Combining the Senegalese and American education systems with modern technology, C.E.N aims to empower pupils academically, culturally and socially, from Nursery through to Year 5, with a progressive approach tailored to each level.

C.E.N was founded to address the shortcomings of an education system inherited from colonisation. It offers an alternative suited to African realities: culturally rooted and forward-looking. The aim is to reinvent education in Africa.

C.E.N tackles educational inequality, curricula disconnected from real life and the shortage of teachers. It also addresses the digital divide and the mismatch with the job market. C.E.N works actively on all these challenges.

C.E.N combines academic rigour with African cultural grounding, using modern teaching methods adapted to its pupils. It is a distinctive approach — particularly in Dakar — to a well-rounded education.

Adapting the curriculum reconnects young people with their history and identity, fostering a sense of belonging and pride. C.E.N offers an education that speaks directly to them.

Cossaan Daara is the branch of the C.E.N network dedicated to Senegalese Islamic heritage. It brings together spirituality, culture and ethics, offering an education that respects traditional values.
