Cosaan Education Network

African, Bilingual Education of the Highest Standard

Cosaan Education Network (CEN) offers a pioneering curriculum that combines academic rigour with African cultural grounding. From Nursery to Year 5, our bilingual (French/English) curriculum draws on the best of the Senegalese and American systems while making full use of modern technology. Core subjects (mathematics, science, literature) are enriched by a holistic approach that nurtures both academic excellence and personal growth.

Beyond conventional learning, CEN places Africa firmly at the centre through cultural, artistic and historical activities. Our goal? To educate young people who are proud of their heritage, fully bilingual and ready to play their part in a globalised world. This distinctive curriculum cultivates intellectual skills and human values alike, preparing pupils to become the enlightened leaders of tomorrow.

Why choose the CEN curriculum?

Our curriculum rests on three pillars: rigorous academic excellence, deep French-English bilingualism and authentic African cultural immersion. This three-dimensional approach produces capable pupils who are open to the world and proud of their roots.

Language immersion happens naturally: 50% of lessons in French, 50% in English, with native speakers teaching. We use active methods — bilingual drama, multimedia projects — to make learning fluid and enjoyable.

The richness of the continent runs through the whole curriculum. Pupils explore ancient civilisations, discover the treasures of oral literature and take up traditional and contemporary arts. Ubuntu philosophy and pan-African values shape our teaching day to day, forming grounded, tolerant individuals.

Our methods break with traditional teaching. Pupils debate major African issues, work through real social-enterprise case studies and create digital work. Science competitions and cross-disciplinary projects develop their intellectual agility and creative boldness.

Beyond the basics, we cultivate skills that matter in the 21st century. Our pupils become informed digital citizens and systems thinkers able to handle complexity. Their grounding in intercultural mediation and social innovation gives them a real edge for the future.
